About Me
Please consider my unique qualifications as you decide on the best care for your furry family member!

I am an experienced Veterinary Technician with the ability to detect and care for common issues that may occur during your absence. If needed, I can administer oral and topical medications, subcutaneous injections/fluids, asthma treatments, CPR, and more.

I have liability insurance, am bonded, and have no criminal record. These are important factors to consider when allowing somebody into your home to care for a pet. Accidents can happen so it’s crucial to hire a professional rather than a pet sitting hobbyist. Have peace of mind when you are away!

I am a member of Pet Sitters International. This entitles me to continuing education opportunities which help me improve the care I extend to your pets. I have also passed their certification exam which demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed and prosper in this industry.

I have extensive experience in the field of animal care. In addition to working as a Vet Tech, receptionist and hospital manager, I have been offering pet sitting services for nearly 30 years. My clients agree that I am easy to work with, very loving with their fur babies, and trustworthy in their homes.

I am dependable, organized and communicate effectively. I confirm visits ahead of time, provide an itemized invoice, arrive at the pre-designated times we’ve discussed, and supply a detailed summary of each visit to your home. My clients also enjoy the photos and videos I send while they are away.

I have a small team of reliable employees and provide extensive training and oversight. So when you hire services, you will get exceptional care at every visit!

Services & Fees
I tailor each visit to your pet's individual needs. Whether that is feeding, a walk around the block, playtime in the back yard, or a snuggle session, I strive to maintain the same routine you have established. Should medicating be required, that will also be included for no extra charge. In addition to caring for your pets, I will retrieve mail/packages, set out and bring in garbage/recycling bins, adjust lights, water plants, and more.

FAQs
What is a meet and greet and is it required?
A meet and greet occurs when I travel to your home to learn about your pet's routine. This is a very important visit to ensure your pet is comfortable with me. It also allows me to learn all of the necessary requirements to care for your pet while you are away. The meet and greet is complimentary and generally takes 15-30 minutes. Should a follow-up visit be requested, the standard drop-in rates will apply.
What if I have an emergency and need to request, or cancel, a same day booking?
I understand that things come up, however, I have strategically planned each day to best utilize my time and travel. Therefore, if you require a same day visit and I am able to accommodate, there will be an additional charge of $5. Any cancellations that occur on the same day of the reservation will incur a $15 charge.
What does overnight pet sitting in Jen's home consist of?
You will deliver and retrieve your dog from my home (or I offer transportation services, if desired). Please pack your pet's usual diet, treats, and bowls, as well as their favorite bed and toys. I share my home with my husband, our teenage daughter, a small dog, and 2 cats. My cats keep to themselves and my dog is great about accepting NON REACTIVE dogs. We allow pets on the couch, as well as our bed. My husband works from home so in the event I must leave to perform a dog walk for another client, your dog will always have a companion. We provide multiple daily walks, play time, and lots of love!
What does overnight pet sitting in the client's home consist of?
A member of my team will be staying at your home for approximately 12 hours overnight, typically arriving around 7pm and departing the following morning around 7am. We are able to feed dinner when we arrive, take care of potty breaks and socialization, then snuggle in bed throughout the night. The next morning we will feed breakfast and take care of potty breaks before departing. We then offer 1-2 drop-in visits throughout the day based on your pets needs. Our goal is to maintain your usual routine with your pets and home. Prior to our departure, all areas in the home that have been used will be thoroughly cleaned.
Your pricing seems high! Why?
Cost should never be a top consideration when choosing a professional pet sitter to care for your beloved pets. With that said, compared to industry norms, my pricing is competitive. Keep in mind that most pet sitters do not have a degree or experience in the veterinary field, but I do! I also have nearly 30 years of experience providing pet sitting services which means I know how to avoid issues. Be cautious to never compare costs with a pet sitting hobbyist. Professionals, like me, carry insurance/bonding and have a current background check. I also belong to Pet Sitters International which allows me to participate in continuing education. These are all important factors to consider if you're looking for exceptional care for your pet and home.
I'm very apprehensive about leaving my pet. How can you help ease my concerns?
I completely understand as I feel the same way when I have to leave my fur babies behind! But rest assured, I will care for your pets and home as if they were my own. I have numerous satisfied clients who would be happy to provide a reference if that helps to make you feel more comfortable. I am also a great communicator and will provide detailed updates with photos and videos while you are away. Many clients have shared that by hiring me, they were able to enjoy a vacation away from their pet for the first time!
What is your service radius?
I live in Carrollwood and travel to areas within 5 miles of my home, including Citrus Park, Northdale, Lake Magdalene, Forest Hills and some parts of Lutz. I don't generally travel further but may make an exception if my schedule allows. For those visits, an additional $5 charge will be applied.
What form of payment do you accept?
Cash, check, Venmo, Zelle and Apple Pay
